After the last few months of focusing on diabetes and getting a bit consumed by it all, I started 2014 wanting to focus on the present and important. I realised I had been neglecting a few jobs around the house and wanted to stop putting them off. At the top of the list was a row of sagging roof tiles on our house. Yesterday, my father-in-law and myself got up on the roof to investigate. We took a couple of tiles off and this is what we found:
Yup, termite damage to the jarrah beams. We didn't bother taking off more tiles, knowing what we'd find. We had a pest guy come out and he thinks it's old damage and that there is no sign of current infestation. That's the good news, the bad is we now have to organise repairs. Sigh, ah well that's life hey?
